Tax Time Again

Tax time for me and hubby, comes twice a year,
There's summer taxes and winter's too..
Not that much for all the peace and quiet paid,
I only wish I could send some along to you.

The trees in the forest whisper their stories in the breeze,
No matter if it is summer or in a wintery blast.
Just wish summer’s warmth would stay a bit longer,
I always want the warmth and song of birds to last.

I’ll pay Caesar, Caesar’s due,
Every tax time when it rolls around.
And enjoy the peace and beauty of the country,
In every God given day and birdies song.
