Chance and Will

~

Read this for a Chance,
To step into my world of words,
Will it so...be daring,
Part from these pitiful herds,

See an inch of my life,
Through your own perspective,
For you are the navigator,
Of your own directive,

By Chance and Will,
You may succeed or fall,
Experience the thrill,
'til the curtains call,

Together, through all,
With our ups and downs,
Keep us right in the balance,
On the lines of our bounds,

Two steps forward; just the one step back,
Focus right on the moment, of this winding track,
The here and now, what we've learned so well,
Can't predict the future, only time can tell,

The will of our youth,
With a life filled of chance,
Engraves pictures of the truth,
Not a solemn dance,

And so with winter on the horizon,
Sights of Chance and Will is near,
Let the start of fresh beginnings,
Bring many a tearful cheer,

I live in this world of words,
Do you see it sometimes haunts me so,
Hold on to me my friend; I say,
'Don't you ever let it go'.

this world is but a winding road. We have to take chances every day. If we don't we will get nowhere. Trying to keep the balance is some times difficult. thoughtful writing.

I used your line in a recent poem myself. "One step forwards, two steps back." Seems poet minds think alike at the same time. Chance? Or Will? LOL God bless
