LOST POETRY

Poetry why do you forsake me
Where are the words that once flowed like a stream
Where is the joy that you would always bring me
Now all words lost just like a broken dream

Why is there no more inspiration
To find the words that I so sorely seek
The moon that once spoke to me of love songs
Hides it's glow and to me no longer speaks

As I lie here in the night there is no magic
That takes me to a far and distant land
No fairies dancing at the bottom of my garden
I just lie in hope with pen in hand

I pray you will return before the sunrise
Bringing joy to me this coming day
Poetry my life is sad without you
I beg you please come back this time to stay

My dear Pat, while you are wondering about yourself, the poetry is inside you, and while you keep constantly asking about this, where it is...you ARE at the same time producing/writing one that is called a poem...perhaps you don't know, but let mind and skill go on the same line and you will be writing instantly, constantly, I am sure of that, because the greatest source of your inspiring thoughts/imaginations lie within, please don't think, just write like now and you'll always have a beautiful, inspiring write like this excellent poem, Pat!! No need to wait, my dear...
