A Fly In My Eye **a Children's Tale**

...................

Why
Does this fly
Like to land
On my eye?
He's not helping
My eyeball
At all.

He just gets
In the way.
And he's
Nothing
To say.
He just
Stands there,
And stares
At
The wall.

Doing little
Fly things,
Thinking little
Fly thoughts,
Doing nothing
Particularly
Awesome.
Just standing
There tweaking,
And utterly
Freaking
Me out
As though
He's playing
Possum.

Where should I go?
And what should I do?
I simply Don't know,
For this is all
Very new.
It is not every day
A fly gets in the way
Of an eyeball.
And he's so small,

And I really
Don't know
What I should do
At all.

Why does
This fly
Like to land
On my eye?
He has caused
Quite a bit
Of commotion.
He's brought all
Of his friends,
And those
Crayola Crayons,
And I haven't
The foggiest
Notion.

Common sense
Tells me to
Protest.
Common sense
says,
'Draw a
'Don't cross this
Line.'

Of course
They have the right
To take rest
From their flight
On an eye.

It's just that
This eye is mine!

Sounds like the owl is talking now. Reminds me a tad of an owl pic with a mosquito on the poor unblinking bird's eye. Wonderful with delightful imagery and sentiments. Fun. Happily it did not make the pen lie still.

Having little fly thoughts? LOL That got me thinking, What does a fly really think about? The next poop their going to land on, or a garbage can of rotting garbage? Not my kind of thinking at all! YELK!!!! LOL God Bless

Ha ha... Clearly you and this fly are not seeing eye to eye.
