A Poem, written by me.
Destruction of an inner circle.
We're standing in the wake of devastation.
Our memories are slowly breaking down.
I feel cold and lost in desperation.
I remember all the sadness and frustration.
But it slowly seems to fade.
Have you ever felt like something feeds off your soul?
You're breaking down like a mirror smashed to pieces.
Though you stand up straight like you never even cared.
There is something that we have in common.
It's the way our lives have changed.
A barrier keeping us away…
2 worlds that keep us thousands of miles apart.
It was a one-way traffic all along.
I build up hope…
But failure is all I've ever known.
I am a burst of light…
That blinded every angel.
Like I've blown all the memories away.
And there's no one there to catch you while you're falling…
The gravity pulls you away.
I can't let go...
I try to keep the pieces all together.
But every time a pieces breaks off again.
You can't believe how much I stare into empty space.
Hours pass but I don't move at all.
The clouds move past even though there is no wind.
The fire burns but I can't' breath.
All the memories of you seem to crumble slowly.
One by one, I lose sight of you.
I'll search for you, I'll follow you until the end of time.
But if you leave me here,
There is nothing left for me to do.
I give in, I fade away
Slowly, but that is just the start.
