Who I Am

This is who I am...I live in trees, I fly through the air and rest on clouds.
I smell the leaves and linger there,
Quenching my thirst for greenness.
The newborn leaves are tender and juicy.
Chewing each one slowly I become fresher and more nimble.
The blood that runs through my veins is the color of ripe limes.
My heart is the yellow of the sun, brightening my inner world
Providing warmth too, across the expanse of physicality.

The purple, blue and green sphere in my head looks very much like the global depiction of planet earth. So much terrain, so little well traveled.
The deeply worn paths right next to vast unexplored areas...lonely from lack of attention.
I will tiptoe over to this expanse and see what I might find...
but first I must struggle to climb out of the worn path, which feels quite like a nest, or a trap...

I swim in the blue and reach for purple remembering the taste of green. I spread my arms...I let go,
I fly.
