Me and My Big Mouth!

There comes a time
when you have to admit
that you've been
a total and utter twit.

I taunted the weather
thinking it'd be all right.
But it turns out that weather
doesn't half put up a fight.

My heaters are pushing it
to keep me safe and warm
while outside the blizzard plays,
kicking up a storm.

Be careful what you wish for
'cos you just might get
much more than you intended
when you place a snowfall bet.

Ah tis a brave lass that stands up to Mother Nature in all her glory but I think the old dear Mother Nature certainly had the last laugh - Most especially if she read this witty piece which rolls through wonderfully.

Growing up in Chicago, I loved days like this. Living in Fort Lauderdale for past 40 years makes me miss them all the more. Wonderful poem Kath.

This must have something to do with your verse "Where's my snow".

Have to agree with this Kath - beware what we wish for - though if you do have some snow send a bit down here for Tessa and moi. Love that fun title you chose for this piece of regret....... I have one of those many times - a big mouth !!! xx
