Love in Paradise II by ArloMagicMan

Costless.

Paradise
which, never
lost, sits
patiently silent
and waits.
Costless, this
mysterious
yet regained
state of
Edenic bliss,
which
takes but one
split
minute when
glimpsed,
to open gold
doors
and allow us
a taste.

Oooh,la,la,la! What a wonderfully enticing lure to that wondrous state of "paradise"! How beautifully mere words poignantly yet subtly rouse that sentiment inexplicably. Awesome, impressive, superb! Wow. I think it even made me hold my breath momentarily.

An intriguing look at paradise and this priceless state of being is what most people eventually hope to enter. Perhaps in meditation it can be glimpsed but we need to earn the right to enter it through love and caring for others and our planet earth. Thank you Fay for helping me put my thinking cap on~

Having said that when we do feel crappy and things are not quite going our away, we just don’t feel like opening ourselves to the beauties that lay in paradise, Beautiful poetry though Fay.

Paradise is never lost but our measure of time is so small that it takes years and years and sometimes several births to break down the doors. Your poetry of the soul goes deep, Fay.

They often say that we are resposible for making out own happiness...perhaps this is true. When we try to make someone else's happiness is when we find we haven't a clue. Your friend in words, Pete

This is a delicate and elegant poem about a theme I myself have explored at length. I appreciate the sparse, economic, direct, and simple language. You isolate the words nicely too. As I was reading the first few lines, I automatically thought of Frost's lines: "We dance around in a ring and suppose/But the secret sits in the middle and knows." I enjoyed this, Fay.
