My Aunty Flo

This is a tribute to my dear Aunty Flo which I read at her funeral.

Deal Or No Deal her favourite host would say,
Noel Edmonds to her was just a mere youngster.
She loved the thrill of it all especially the laughter
A gift she had and many others amongst her.

In her youth she dressed like a film star
Stunningly beautiful like Marilyn Monroe.
Fun and laughter was important to her
Met with a smile and a "mind how you go".

She would giggle and had a twinkle in her eye
That twinkle stayed to her bitter end.
Our Mum has lost a loving sister
And a life long very best friend.

Now as we are met with sorrow in our hearts
But she wouldn't want that - not Aunty Flo
So with a brave smile on all our faces
We say goodbye and mind how you go.

(Mind how you go was her favourite thing to say instead of goodbye
And Deal Or No Deal was her favourite TV show).
