When I Forget Love

Down a road I may never forget
Dances his lonely silhouette
Speaking his words, gently fain
He says no love is worth the pain
My unwanted lover, my deceptive friend
My life came to a bitter end
This time I love impatiently
Love holds no meaning endlessly
A lover blinds me with his eyes
Emotion lost within his lies
The time, it comes to beckon me
Caged, controlled I forever be
A lover leads me unto death
Consider this our final breath
The sea shall swallow him and I
For love we live, by love we die
A lover leaves me lost at sea
The tide of tears won't rescue me
The wind, it moans an empty cry
There is no love, no reasons why
And I am all that's left of a lover
A boy whose life was taken over
A boy who only wished to find love
To find only what he's most afraid of
Love is sweet, though sometimes not
The life I'm living is the one I've got
And time, it seems to go much faster
When I forget love... altogether
How well you made me understand
The fatal fears of one defected
If I'd have only known more well the man
I lent my heart to unprotected
Now well in sickness I do wallow
For here and now I begin to die
So dead beneath this skin, so hollow
To love, to life, to he... goodbye.

exception rhyme, loved the rhythm. Could be tightened a bit. It's hard not to like this write. Melancholy message but so well expressed. tfs
