Signs of Spring

It is beginning to look a lot like Spring
Everywhere I go, I see melting snow
As I venture about I am anticipating...
Smiling as I go, walking nice and slow

Looking beneath dry brown brittle foliage
Searching for a glimpse of sprouting green...
A prelude to daffodils at the sidewalk's edge
Visualizing a colorful change to the scene

A squirrel approaches…getting very close
Sitting upright, with paws poised together
His eyes affixed to mine…wiggling his nose
As though to say, isn't this lovely weather…

Absolutely charming... a wonderful poem to sing aloud - I've just done that, and I'm smiling. :)

Ah Enza - your lilting and interesting verse makes Spring a little nearer even here.
