life looks on in repose." ~Author Unknown

There's something more than meets the eye
where wishes soar and tears run dry
where roars of WAR! give way to sighs
of something more than meets the eye.
There are glorious gifts just out of reach
wrapped in dusk's blush of gold and peach
whose splendour serves as wonder's speech
on glorious gifts just out of reach.
Beyond the limits of man's word
in song of sea and glide of bird
is promise yearning to be heard
beyond the limits of man's word.
Outside confines of reason's sphere
moon-dusted thoughts shine sun-kiss clear
as dreams peel back constraint's veneer
outside confines of reason's sphere.
There's something more than meets the eye
where wishes soar and tears run dry
where roars of WAR! give way to sighs
of something more than meets the eye.
Aye, sending the reader first to peruse Kath's excellent tribute to religion's failings and reason's triumph to set the stage for this breathtaking philosophical reply is superb. I frankly am thankful you did that for the two pair beautifully, the first paving the way for the second, drawing each reader in deeper to the age-old dilemma so beautifully rendered. Impressive, brilliant, winsome, irresistible, alluring, awesome. Superb. Fabulous imagery to boot. Wow. A pleasure to read.
