'no love lost' by rosa_rusa

Bloom Flowered.

Under the tremulous arc of limited life
I walked alone with
no feel of belonging to earth or to ether,
and not knowing why

Then I found my soul-space taken when
you came along
and swept clean was the mystery place
in my heart.

You taught me love's meaning you tuned
and re-charged
my fantasy, invaded me until the shards
of modesty were crushed.

Now we are parted I imagine what might
have been,
and dream on, bloom flowered for a while
but unfed it died.

Sad regret for the trust I gave has been
decried and
my lust for more loving being now denied
stays unsatisfied.

You showed me paradise in which to dwell
but as that
first innocence ended the magic dwindled
and so did your spell.

Remorse is as the heart in which it grows *** Samuel Taylor Coleridge. A phrase that you described and well versed. A powerful poem.

Wow, you have done well to show the emptiness that can be left by a hit and run lover...at least you had those moments of magic. Your friend in words, Pete
