A Loving Octain Refrain *** For Meggies Love Challenge**

Poem Title : Loving Octain :*** For Meggies Love Challenge** (Octain)
Poem 213 100

This form is called Octain (Octain Refrain), invented by Luke Prater.
The form Structure –

eight lines as two tercets and a couplet, eight syllables per line with the first line repeated (as much as possible) as the last. Meter is iambic or trochaic tetrameter, but fine to just count eight syllables per line for those who prefer that.
Rhyme scheme -
A-b-b
a-c/c-a
b-A
(A = repeated refrain line. c/c refers to line five having midline (internal) rhyme (hot/not, in this case), which is different to the a- and b-rhymes. Any extra midline rhyme is a bonus)

*** For Meggies Love Challenge***
To incorporate a text attributed to Judy Garland.
“ For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into
my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed but my soul :

A Loving Octain Refrain ;
~
For it was not into my ear.
You whispered,but into my heart.
To my Octain for a start.
~
Please let me make this very clear.
Hot , it was not my lips you kissed,
But my “ Soul”, you I so revere.
~
Know that we shall never part,
For it was not into my ear …..
