Hey world, look!
I'm alive - it must be so!
I feel deep surges of warmth again,
That's how I know!
I'm giddy, carefree and feel strangely gay,
I wait in wild anticipation for another day
To dawn to share with someone who chanced
Upon my merely existing - non-essential being,
Opening the door to exciting times,
Engulfing my mind and body in magical splendor...
"For it was not into my ear he whispered but into my heart. It was not my lips he kissed, but my soul."
Not a knight in cold shinning armor, but wrapped in warmth, his heart pure gold I'm sure...his touch
Masterful, yet ever gentle, his kiss, like the tickle
Of butterflies to a flower.
Hey world! If this be dreaming, then let me
Sleep on in this bed of sweet ecstacy, and when
The magic has gone, awake me, not with the
Clamor of harsh good-byes, but nudge me gently
Out of this tranquility with only the fond memory
Of having a sunbeam touch my heart when we
Fell in love, just by chance!
