little girl lost

little girl lost,
was the bright lights of the city
worth your life?
so young, but you went anyways
did you get caught up in the wrong crowd?
they say you were on drugs
and walking the dirty streets.
little girl lost
your mom and dad had to identify you,
it broke their hearts.
little girl lost
i hope now you find your way home.

A very sad piece Carol - but one that speaks of life as it is today.
