Prismatic Recollection (For Dorothy)

Prismatic Recollection
(How Did I Feel?)

Did I find the little secret behind
the myth about man’s lost heart—
the Easter Bunny’s ecliptic story
cut across the revolving equator,
Santa’s full sleigh just beyond
the shortest day’s quilted darkness,
a rainbow’s prismatic raindrop as
it splits sunlight into wavelengths—
even within a distant star’s light
as a wonder inside Orion’s belt.

With a sincerity a little joy erupts
where celebration of my spirit is
released, a slippered nobility
that slides beyond, into a knowing
cathedral where awe arrives
within divinity’s higher states.

To experience every solstice,
equinox, or light’s transformation
into the spectrum that ignites
the total being; not just the eye,
for within this wonder is constant
truth’s changing spheres behind
our simple tactile experiences:
The same cosmic dance inside
our breath and blood offers life
a lit pulse within love’s pursuits.

In response: To Dorothy’s question
How did you feel…there was no…
and it was a “white lie”?

Ahh Judy... For sure she gave the rainbow far more than its beauty when she connected it to lemon drops and chimney tops. And "blue birds fly, why can't I". She went over the top of the rainbow and then some with a voice like that. Loved it. A poet friend..RH Peat

I wonder if Dorothy of oz had to study all you've said before singing her song, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"...How dare she render such beauty if she did not... I asked for the time and you explained to me instead, how watches are made and I missed my train to "Rainbow Dreams"... Thank you for the dedication. Dorothy A Poet Who Loves To Sing

The joy of knowing the secrets that transform the whole being , that make us see the things the way they are supposed to be seen and not the way they are. The dance of divinity within the wondrous realms of the cosmos , the sense of knowing the unknown , is a supreme feeling. I am sure dorothy shall be pleased to read this .

Raj, I think so too. It was a very enigmatic question she asked me.I had to ponder it a bit internally. It created a lovely poem in the end. That we are far more spiritually than what we see. Which was behind my funny statement to her to begin with: "that a rainbow needed raindrops" Thanx again Raj for your comment.
