Curse this moonless night!

The moon beamed from the misty skies,
clouds ran fast to catch him
when they did, he politely obliged.

The clouds floated with a hallow behind,
the hiding moon lit them bright
till they were gone with the wind.

The moon dominated the sky again,
illuminating the night sky (again)
showing his dark spots in vain.

The blanket of darkness had wound the sky,
where the moon shone alone, hiding the sun
with stars, lighting the paths of passers by.

The perfect white round seemed to stop awhile,
to see me, I thought God peeped from his face
it seemed so close though it was at miles..

I looked and realized- the world is so vast,
there is a whole new world beyond my life
beyond my present, future and past.

--------------------------------------------------

But the full moon loses its charm,
loses its shape as days pass by
till crescent like a smile very warm.

In the end, moon and clouds no more fight,
he no more beams his heart out
Oh! Curse this moonless night!
