There is always pathos in humour and many of the world's best comedians have been depressives in real life. Who would want to be the stereotypical Jewish son.....such pressure!!!! TIC

I think he's hilarious - or was. His seventies and early eighties work is particularly strong. As for the nineties only "Husband and Wives" stands out. As for the 21st century so far, "Deconstructing Harry" has very good moments. All in all, a very talented man with a unique sense of humor and memorable lines.
