(I received a request from "She-Writes" to write her a poem to read at an aunt's funeral...This is the poem...
We come today
To speak quietly of
Our Aunt (her name here) as she rest
In her sleep of perfect peace.
Her spirit soars in cloud safari
of rainbow dreams.
We honor our kinship to her
And find solace in memories she
Bequeath to each of us.
Some memories in a distant past
And surely some of recent yesterdays.
We shall treasure each one as we
say fondly, hands over hearts,
Aunt (her name) "Rest In Peace!"

she rests/solace bequeaths. Love the poem for the reason it was written. It is divine a thing to help someone in need. A great wordless emptiness can fill our spirit when someone close to us dies. Well done Dorothy, You sing. We are here to encourage one another in time of need. A poet friend...RH Peat
