Show Compassion by jennybalase

Imagine.

When hunger gets fat from imbibing the yields
of fertile soil multitudes thrive,
provisioned abundantly
by enhanced vitality yet never easily pleased.

Hard to imagine is the strain of starvation as
danger impregnates a willingness
dries to become wholly
impoverished then all aliveness lies defeated.

To witness a happy rise in compassion would
prove any travesty can be most
bettered by enjoying
empathy's pleasure provided aid is repeated.

Compassion seems an increasingly rare commodity, these days. Can something be ephemeral and eternal at the same time? If so, here it is.
