Climate change

Come on children,
Nature summons the buds
To an assembly
At crack of dawn;
it's not yet time to smile
Or laugh,
Or rush out
In your colourful dresses
And dance in beds or grass,
Wave from trees,
With abandon in mirth!
Go back to sleep
For, Spring I've heard
From Met office
shall have to wait
Till March.

Buds did protest,
We are awake
And half dressed,
But went back to bed!

They say
Blame it
on la Nina!

Nature sat down
lost in contemplation!

LaNina which in Spanish means 'the girl' is a condition when surface temperatures in the South Pacific Ocean fall below normal. It causes below normal temperatures in India

Ha ha... It's comforting to know that we humans aren't the only ones who make mistakes. Exquisite simile.

Good poem dear friend, a ringing bell for all of us to try to live a conscious life , nature friendly, or our kids will have to push their springs back to bed for much more longer..

Thank you Mamta for this for this engaging poem poem brought to life with color, children and dancing and LaNina too who seems to be getting a reputation as being a naughty girl! Some people still think climate change it is an inconvenient truth, but they may not have experienced it yet. I found your poem very interesting~
