Locked in the Sleep

There is a place in my mind
Where I hide my secrets so deep
Secrets that I cannot find whilst awake
Unlocking the door everytime sleep comes
Wish I could erase, memories of you
The ones that hurt so much
Times that I did reach out and held you
When I did feel your tender touch
Perhaps it makes us much better
Being awake
Not knowing the pain
If only I could write you a letter
Explaining how I really feel
Lying here completely still
Staring at the blankness
Not wondering anymore
Nor asking why
Is the past really better
Good memories are all my heart will allow
least i sleep

Nice poem. God sends signs and wonders to us when we sleep. He owns every file in your head and knows you by heart. :)

Beautiful are the memories coming alive in sleep...often the only one we can handle...A touching verse. Dorothy A Poet Who Loves To Sing
