In showing love I hold this as
best means
That each stand, at times,
a little away
And allow others a difference
to breathe.
Harmony's chord is perfected
this way.
Consonance comes not only
through union,
As solitude's need, if allowed,
will reveal.
Mystic the peace when trust
molds a future.
Trees grow the better with
spaces between.

The last two lines echo what is said in Gibran's "The Prophet". I applaud the acknowledgement that spaces between the trees (and people) allow for growth and a heightened appreciation of our respective uniqueness.
