Quiet

We all seek at times
a measure or two
of silken stillness
caught within the hustle bustle
of our daily lives.

The quiet that descends slowly
as summer sap oozing from a tree
to crystallize our moments
into tranquil harmony
that refreshes
our obliterating soul.
