rain like bullets being shot
poured down making
huge puddles of water
as the rain shot down
the thunder sounded
sharp, as a rifle being used
to hunt the flashes of
lightening that lit the sky
brighter than daylight
the air made sharp sounds
like tin folding unto itself
and the wind drove
along with the storm
I see the sky making war on the Earth, below. Peppering the surface with bullets of rain, thunderous artillery and lightning strikes. At a strategic moment, the Earth will counter-attack, and attempt to poison the sky with sulphurous volcanic eruptions, and all over some eons old provocation, the poor creatures caught in the middle can ever hope to know. Great stuff, Carol : )
