Life's Highway Code

Take my hand and walk with me,
Through this ever changing world,
Along unmarked paths that stretch ahead,
Where our lives become unfurled.

Each step we take will move us on,
Teaching us countless things,
Becoming wiser as we get to know
About what the future brings.

There may be trials and anguish as
We travel along the way,
But we will journey on with hope
And delight in each new day.

Take my hand and walk with me,
Soul mates on the unknown road,
Our hearts are one, and together thus,
We’ll follow life’s highway code.

Your picture serves a wonderful purpose as it opens up the mind to your enlightening words. A fitting conclusion in the last stanza to another lovely poem~

Walking together on life's highway is a lovely thing. Alone is quite different. A soul mate is the most rewarding of all. love this.

You've said it all. It's the peace and security of knowing someone you trust has got your back, whether you're driving or riding shotgun.

You must have been in the mood for 'Life Journeys' after your other lovely piece Ernestine. This one is just as meaningful to me.
