Not tonight...

Not tonight;
Got
An early morning flight!
Its midnight,
You climbed
Up the vine,
Is it cold outside?
I can’t invite
You inside!
Gaze from the skies,
An enigmatic smile!

Wait; a call from airline-
Snap, in flight staff strike
We profusely apologise!

Here you are
Eyes over brimming,
With golden light!
Have I ever confided,
Half or full, forever bright!

O Moon, so subtle, you invite
Me to feel alive
And believe, take life’s tides
In my stride!

The celestial moon is forever stable and enduring - as compared all our earthly 'flights' , and inspires us to take the ebb and flow of life in our strides ! Hope my interpretation was right ! -Raj

This is a subtle, understated, delicate poem. The cancelled flight has given you the opportunity to come back to yourself, which is richer than far away lands. Regardless of where you go, there you are. The moon is at once just the moon, and is also a form of acute awareness. Good job.
