Epiphany

Chill December flew with celebrations
Still it echoes among the fresh air
January azure looks too gracious
Eye of heaven shines and makes all fair.

Three great sages came from east
To seek the king they yearned to search
Wrath of Herod did not mar the spirit
Laborious feet led them to the shade.

Shining star brought them to Bethlehem
Auspicious city which shattered the Lamb
They beheld him in a hay as a precious gem
His divine grandeur uplifted his august fame.....

Beautiful and interesting tribute to a feast/event with which I am unfamiliar. Excellent imagery and gentle persuasion toward the apparent spirit of it. Good use of end-rhyming in S1 and S3.

Your poet's style, Punsara, is developing well...the rhythm and imagery and the pace are excellent...I look forward to the days and years when you will bring us these poems on a variety of subjects that really matter to the world; with what I've seen of your stylistic and poetic development here, I've no doubt we're in for great poems from you...
