only the tiger sleeps
in a jungle full of danger,
others jump, and tremble
at the very thought
of what lies in wait, in the night.
yes the night, scary to exist within
gives comfort to some
people can hide, pretend to be invisible
strike at the innocent
or forage like the animals
while the tiger still sleeps.
