Avalon Beach Rocks by -yury-

A PERFECT DAY

The day was still
Silence was the only sound
The golden sun smiled
Spreading it’s warmth upon the sand
My bare feet, engulfed by the lapping waves,
Wanted to dance

The vast expanse of sea glistened like gold
As it reflected the sun’s glorious rays
Painting a beauty that only nature can.
Lying back on the warm sand the gentle
Breeze brushed my cheeks, like an angel's kiss
All at once the world felt at peace

The day was ending , and as I smiled back at the sun
It slowly hid behind a cloud
The lapping waves were leaving the shore, as the tide turned.
Feeling calm and happy I set off for home
Giving thanks for nature’s special gift
A perfect day

As winter winds start to bite, memories of that special summer day

....LOL...I was typing the sentences, and all of a sudden it flew away and I saw it was printed already, that´s why I continue now: I´ll be recommending this PERFECT DAY, dear. A great refreshing...especially for our senses in this barren cold week, at my place MINUS TEN...thank you for your jewel that I´ve found near your shore...recommended!

You paint beautiful word pictures of this perfect day that warms the senses. I feel this could be a meditation to help heal stress, and the photograph complements the poem wonderfully~

Wonderful imagery Pat. I remember such times as the cold wind bites in our wintry village. A lovely warm day indeed.
