Mother

Mother.
That’s who you were.
That’s who you’ll always be.
This time around
there’ll be no cards, or roses, or phone calls.
Just me,
looking skyward,
blowing kisses to heaven,
and hoping you are getting them.
Although God called you home
this past October 7,
today is the day you were born here on Earth.
And though we aren’t able to celebrate the day with you,
I know, you know
our thoughts are with you.
On this day
you are in Heaven
celebrating with family members already there.
So, party hearty, Woman
and enjoy your first birthday in Heaven.

Another lovely tribute to your loving Mum. It is a sad time Christmas when your parents are not with you anymore, but I know they will be looking down on you and guiding you through your life. They will always be with you.
