lumière

sunlight digs its way out of grayness,
removing softly but firmly the petals of sky
covering up its nudity,
and then it blossoms on my locked lashes,
with a splash of glow.

i tease it, eyes closed,
smiling under its rain of photons
breaking against my skin,
melting within my aura
and i watch it,
through the yet shut lids,
as it dances there, passionate like Salome,
in exchange for the head of my dreams.

its limbs, fluid and warm,
sway along my own, pairing them,
drawing invisible scratches of honey
on my shoulders and thighs,
trying to erase the perfume of your kisses,
like a jealous lover,
and braiding in my hair
its strands of luminous ivy.

sunlight seeks me,
fumbling for my breath,
knowing that, once i inhale its incandescence,
my lungs will smell like morning,
and then i’ll finally open up for the lambent beams
the playground of my iris…

Brilliance portrayed in this verse is awesome - - you take sunlight and create another sphere with your clever imagination - - another gem Lily.

The being bathed in sunny lumière. Your poem is studded with delicately chosen sensuous similes and metaphors.

Taking in the morning sunshine can be a sensuous process.
