Paper Airplanes

Do you remember the day
we sailed those paper airplanes
a thousand miles away
up to the brillant sun
just to watch them burn

I think I've lost my way
your signal is in the distance
at the end the of day
there's always growing concern
every time that I return

And one of these days
I'll stop to fear
and learn to hope again
with quiet strength
my eyes will close
and the pain will disappear

The time will come
when the clocks will stop
and time won't mean a thing
out of the sky
the bombs will drop
and silence everything

I'll never know
when the ground will fall
out from beneath my feet
the day will come
when my heart will stop
and drum it's final beat

I'm learning to walk again
I can feel it growing stronger
and I'm learning to talk again
don't think I'll wait any longer
this is where it all begins
