...we are

As lettuce is
to a salad, we are
as violins are
to a ballad, we are
as an onion
is to cheese we are
as summer is
to a breeze we are
as horses are
to a carriage, we are
as a receptions is
to marriage we are

for we are bonded
side by side
double the strength
as when two worlds collide
and as the husband to be
is to the blushing bride......
throughout eternity

we are

I like this one. We are what we are. Nicely penned of course. tfs

A list of inseparables expressed in splendid imagery which aptly describes true love in this lyrical verse. Wishing you all the blessings of the festive season dear Kev. and may the coming year bring us here on P.F. more of your scribing which is always a delight to read.
