Time

As each moment passes by,
from day to day, week to week
month to month, year to year
we can watch our time slip by.

Soon we are nearly at the end,
and we look back and wonder,
how did we get to this moment,
this time, close to the end of time.

Its only then we see how short
our life given, really is in time.
Sometimes it’s only then, now
time is short and winding up,

that we decide to take a look
at what we have done, what we
should have done, what we still
want to do, need to do in time.

It is better if we stop now at this
moment, yes this moment in time,
take notice, have a look and see
what is actually ticking, going on.

Now is the best time, the only time,
stay in the present, you could be
inspired by thoughts that come, of
plans for the time that is to come.

Surely is better with one ration of time,
to do something exciting that you like,
to make this lifetime, a heaven to enjoy,
not into a hell, a ghastly time on earth.

Amazing Kate
Today is the most important day in our lives. Used well we increase our chances of a better tomorrow. I love the positive spin you give time, Bob, for me it's the essence of truly living in the now.

This piece contains such wise advice Bob - - nothing is more certain than the passing in one little moment more time.

Retrospective! Yes, indeed we have to use the time in hand as if next moment we won't be here to the best we can! As poets we have done well so far and what we do further will be a bonus I feel! Yet, who knows we may do best thing more than before....!

It is better to die with memories than it is to die with dreams. Great piece , Bob.

A thought-provoking piece Bob, there never seems to be enough time to achieve the things we would wish to achieve.

A meaningful poem Bob ! I find a lot of elderly people here with no hobbies or reading habit ! They find it difficult to kill time ! Alas at the end Time prevails on all ! So let us enjoy our present moment as best as we can , for once gone - shall never come back again ! -Raj
