Parallax of Life

Don't go gentle into the abyss
you are old age and rave
your days are gone at last
we know the dark is right
our words go silent into the night

say what one more time
rage, rage against the dying of the light

your blind eyes, they could blaze like meteors
you and your father, you were both monsters
you killed the curse against his will
bless me now with your fierce tears
I pray, but i hear nothing back, still

say what one more time
rage, rage against the dying of the light
you kill and ravage grave men, near death
who can see and sight, they're blind.

A little reminiscent of Dylan Thomas (more than a little, actually), but what are the things that have gone before if not foundations for the thing to come?
