So what if our words are the shadows of our dreams?
So what if my sigh is the echo of your breath?
So what if your touches are some distant moonbeams?
Is there a need for reason in love and death?
So what if promises are too ripe to keep?
So what if songs are too tuneless to sing?
So what if poems are no more that deep?
Is there a single dream that has no wing?
So what if sweetness has gone beyond reach?
So what if tenderness is so hard to find?
So what if bitter truth is what love can teach?
Is there a distance that's beyond the mind?
So what if I'm not all that I can be?
So what if you're not who I thought you are?
So what if love surprises you and me?
Is there a thing at all that can part us far?
