Flying

I can fly

I know I can fly

Imagination carries me up so high

Careering erratically about the blue

There is plenty of space up here, for you too

Close your eyes and fly

Way up into the gilded clouds

Far away from the deafening crowds

With no particular place to go

Wherever imaginations limits allow, and your inner eyes show

Fly upon the invisible trapeze

Sure, you can do it, with consummate ease

Time stands still

Stay up here get your fill

Glide above the gritty small smelly town

Face devoid even of the hint of a worried frown

I know I can fly

Endlessly as time whizzes by

In the solitude

Blocking out those so rude

Imagination my only need

Effortless winged steed
