Shadows, Desert, Clouds & Sky ! by Bashar Shglila

Shadow of a cloud

Sharing its shadow with the arid land
a cloud roves the lonely skies
devoid of even scorching sands
thirst-cracked the land lies.

For precious moments as the shadow rests
on this land’s each thirsty speck,
gratitude by earth’s heart is expressed
a windy howl through those cracks.
