dawn

she nudged the velvety
duvet down
slowly as the dew drop
sliding down a rosebuds
cheek
brushed a fleck of star dust
from her eye lash
and winked at the
lone star her twinkling
neighbour
and
then
as time stood
still

dawn drew her first
breath in pink
for the day
slowly spreading and
filling her every nook and pore
blowing out
kisses of ocher
with a
a flick of her
wrist
she pearled the dew drops
yonder
and preened over the
treetops
to
softly descend and
smoothly land
on mighty mountain
tops
mixing shades
and
light prisms
sprinkling dawn dust
on mother earth
for this day
and ever more

what an enchanting poem Rema; absolutely gorgeous images, and as Frank has commented, the slim structure, theme and flow ae made for each other.I like the symbolism of lone star, her twinkling neighbour recommended

Ahhh, Rema, you sly young fox, as you make the Reader feel that morning dew-drop decending from from that cheek o'rose by astute way of your custom, slim stanzaic structure that keenly resembles the action or movement of "dripping"...My my...such stardust of poetic mystique Y O U possess, then release into your literary air with every flick of your pen, with every image of your keen Third-Eye....~FjR~
