Winter Fog by nomm de photo

First day of fog this november

First day of fog this November

As I woke
This Sunday morn
Glanced towards
My window on right;

My home was
Enveloped in dense fog!
Nothing visible
To naked eyes.

Did I frown
Or felt down…
No,
I quite like
Winter’s white translucent gown!

Crawled back
Into bed
Covered my head
My senses
Shall get much needed rest,
I felt.
Enjoyed the feel
Of being
Sole inhabitant
On the planet!

But my joy, oh
Didn’t last long,
As just then
normally erratic
Maid, who loves playing
Truant

Rang the bell!

Lovely, so beautiful and enticing, poignant with excellent imagery, concluding how realistically bittersweet. I enjoyed it.

Beautiful! Through the fog you could see where the life goes?

Nice poem Mamta.. I liked the allusion to winter's translucent gown. It perfectly describes the Delhi fog!!
