Be patient, Here I Comeā¦
Morning rays
Light up the diamond jewels,
As it moves
Curvaceous, heaving
Its bosom like a siren,
A wanton woman;
Trying to ensnare
A gullible victim
Paying standing ovation,
With lust and desire in his eyes
Watching from the sidelines.
Comely, willowy
Gracefully undulating,
Today rain or shine
It flows,
With resolve,
Enjoying the journey
On its destination
To merge its identity
In the mighty ocean, which
Embraces with steady gaze!
And it entrusts itself headlong
To it's unexplored depths
In complete
Surrender!
Oh, This is Fantastic composing! ... I love the metaphors you bring out in describing the river. (Sensual, A Beautiful Temptress, Passionate) This poem is Awesome! In Nature, most times, rivers are known as "mighty river" or "Old Man River" in the male persona' ... but this tips the scale greatly in favor of the female gender ... I love water (watching it - playing in it, etc.) It is elemental-emotions at its best. And your first stanza set the pace for the rest of the poem - "Be Patient, Here I Come" ... Brilliant ... MoonBee
