Eleventh Hour. Eleventh Day. Eleventh Month

Posted for the Eleven.Eleven.Eleven challenge.

At the Eleventh hour, we bend our head,
in remembrance of the countless dead,
who fought with such braveness, courage and such,
to keep free the land that they loved so much.

On the Eleventh day, we kneel and pray
for those who's names, in our minds we replay.
Trying hard to solve all the future's fights,
when pure love for all should put it to rights.

The Eleventh month which is November,
is the time for us all to remember.
Each man and woman, on battlefields slain,
their willingness to go and suffer pain.

Year after year we silently unite,
our thoughts with all those who using their might,
gave their lives for freedom, so we'd have peace,
hoping that all conflicts would someday cease.

We must learn that fighting is not the way,
loss of lives, injuries, day after day.
Oh, to live in a world where there's no fear,
and abiding love brings the heavens here.

A very worthy Poem Ernestine . You will be able to use this year on year for it is ever-green. I had hoped to include it in my little challenge but If you have time could you furnish me with an entry as an "Acrostic" Eleven, eleven, eleven, to enable me to compare it with the other entries. Go on you have time , I will hold the choice until the 10th Kind Regards. Philip
