The future will start tomorrow, not today by Dappers

Yet To Come.

The future is often seen with
Apprehension,
shortness of breath
That fear
of change can disarray,
And grip,
leaving quaking steps
Behind,
in which we skulk, lamely.

But if, instead, tomorrow is seen
As potential
for stretching, slight
Excitement
percolates, enthuses
With feel
of subtle warmth, brighter
Then seems
the look to future's view.

'The best is yet to come" a proverb
Stressing
loss of fear, sagely sound,
Advises
assumption, which never
Quickly
undone, then tills the ground
With hope
which reaps tomorrow better

Well, I have long believed that tomorrow will always be a better day, Fay, for once I wake up in the morning, there is nothing that can ruin my new day. Of course, if I don't wake up the next morning, I have nothing to fret about anyway! Your poem was a wonderful one, full of hope and your closing verse said it all very well! Carl.

Hope springs eternal, what would life be without hope. Every day, we learn something new, we see something new, we hear something new. We, like our surroundings ,are always changing. Well expressed piece.

I often argue myself along these very lines. Nothing in life so far has been equal to whatever I was expecting it to be; you'd think I'd just give up having expectations after a while but noooo..wonderful wise words and ending.

I have just returned from a movie 'Up In The Air' where this apprehension is passed off as ridiculous and unobtainable advice given, but the film turns as good movies do to a lesson well learned. An insightful poem indeed adding your lesson to my good day!

Another verse full of wise musings has come along yet again... Very nice write. Your image has reminded me of a message I saw painted on a wall in Ireland. It read - Is there life before death? Imagine living in a world like that?
