Letter to God.

My soul is to you in surrender.
It is your forever and ever.
Take it and let your will be done.
For I rather you over a gun.
The past is over now.
Only to you will I bow.
My heart broken into pieces.
Here you are in all my creases.
My blood pumps the name of the Lord.
Nothing can break it no weapon nor sword.
My word is in my flesh and blood.
The Lord is here and without him I'd be mud.
I was Humpty Dumpty fallen and broken.
I was saved from the words that he had spoken.
It is true I inflicted pain on myself.
That's the past and its put away on his shelf.
I've many times tied a rope around my neck,
But God saved me from that wreck.
I've drank myself dizzy and blue.
From all these experiences I grew.
You can't change what you've done.
I'm sorry hun.
You can only look ahead,
get out of that bed,
and see the brighter tomorrow.
How can I thank the God who gave me this grace to borrow?
He holds me up high.
One day I'll meet him in the big blue sky!
Dear Lord thank you for saving me.
Thank you for letting things be what they ought to be.
Thank you for letting me make mistakes.
Thank you for making me take breaks.
Lord thank you for being there.
Thank you for the sweet cool air.
You give me hope and life.
We are all just one big wife.
Forever I am wed to you.
Stuck to you like paper to glue.
Lord I am here for the taking.
But only when I'm done baking.
This life you made me is one big cook book.
Its like a fisher mans hook.
Lord it is vital
straight to the words "holy bible"
I am yours God forever and always.
Love
with great spirits and strength in love
You child in growth

Oh Hananh - you have grown here at Poetfreak to be a more and more mature poet in style and substance and language...It is marvellous; it's really wonderful to read a poem that comes out so strong in emotion and in understanding of life...Loved this, Hannah

Ahhhhh! I did it again.....I do this all too often & by now I should know better....My daughter & me share the same P.C., albeit, we (obviously)have different log-ons....Problem is, and we are both guilty as sin on this...When we share, and one of us is finished, we often forget to switch the P.C. back to the others logon! The below comment, is from me (FjR), and I enjoyed this piece very much...Ethereally superior!!! ~FjR~

A beautiful, well crafted display of a grand mix of verse style....Free-Verse & Prosaic Verse....Smoothly architected and ethereally charged in storyline. ~FjR~
