Some People

Involved with self pity;
full of tears, always sad,
heartaches, desolate,
never glad, cheerless.
sad and very gloomy.

Poor, poor me they cry,
our life is so miserable,
no hope, no prospects,
no chance a happy life,
a dismal one for us.

Yet when a better way
is shown or pointed to,
they do not try to look.
Just leave me as I am
they grumble, I’m okay.

keen observation... I've seen this too... frustrating for the one who points out a better way... and what a sad loss for the grumbler when so much more can be had in this life that is good and uplifting

A meaningful observation on human traits...some people have learnt to live only that way...a truth beautifully presented

An insightful, outright peep into the bleak side of Human Nature. A lot of factors go into making people like that. If only they could get a taste of the cup of positivity......

They need a help they don't realize they need. The major symptom of depression is actually a need to be sad all the time, not wanting to be happy. And many allow themselves to easily fall into that. An insightful read here Bob.

BOB , It is often said that God helps those who help themselves ! When I see ablebodied boys or men trying to beg I scold them ! But when I find a lame or handicapped person begging , I do help ! Thanks for your great remarks on Part Two of my Story of English language & literature ! -Raj
