Gloomy findings on global warming.

New gloomy findings on global warming by UmmAbdrahmaan @Alhamdulillah!

Feeling The Need.

If we sing with all the voices
..................................... of a mountain,
And we applaud at countless
......................... creatures giving birth,
When the symphony of life
............................ is stifled by disdain
Will we feel the need to mourn
................................. for dying earth ?

If we enter into pleasure
............................. with each rainbow,
And we paint our words
......................in colours of sound mind,
When the clouds drop toxic rain
................... which fosters deadly woes
Will we feel like weeping
......................... at what is left behind ?

If we follow all the footprints
.............................................. of a river,
And we understand
....................the lovesong of the moon,
When the silent pleas of
........... dying trees make leaves shiver
Will we feel the need for work
...................... to stem earth' s doom ?

That trademark structure, that somehow stays a metre-friendly course throughout, looks good and reads better ! FjR-2010

great poem Fay...i hope the day doesn't come when we have to write about nature in the past tense.....

It seems like a few poets are feeling the same way today, about the earth and how we (mis) treat it. This one flows really well, while sending a powerful message to the reader

Nothing left to say. It's brilliant, it flows with poetic majesty, yet it tells of our doom. I think that we should stop and think on how we use the earths resources. Man is disgracefully irresponsible. It's not a footprint he leaves, but a bomb site. Regards Steve
