While I Live Another Story...

A heart so full;
Spilling over
I'm losing ground;
Too lost to be found...

I can do this;
I can hold you both
Carry each memory;
While I live another story...

A heart so strong;
Boiling over
I'm chasing time;
Too innocent for a crime...

I can reach out;
I can remember you, lost lover...

I can't forget;
I can't not keep you and live on forever...

A heart so full;
Spilling over....

you are very good in expressing these lost moments, we never forget the past (lovers) but as life must go on, we accept the new life but in our heart we cherish our memories, they've become a part of the feelings in our heart, as James T. Adair just said. Nice poem!

like the sands in an hour glass, you look at it but it's the past. but memories are the blocks that build a foundation, reminding you of each sensation.

Such as the case of lost love leaves a cut so deep that it takes sometimes years to heal. I really feel this poem and the emotion put forth in it.

I hang onto lost lovers myself. You have to keep them because they were truly a part of your heart. They remain such a clear part of you and I guess that's what love does. I would love to be free of some of the sadness but I really woudn't change the feeling in my heart. That would be parting with some of my most true and cherished emotions...and I couldn't. Some of this emotion spills out now and then. Nice poem!
