Scorned

So you call yourself a man of faith
Time to show you the error of your ways
It is true that we live in a golden age
And gold is material, it is part of the trade
But humanity is the tag that should be worn
For pride is the sickness with a thousand forms
And I myself have figured that you are scorned
Much more than the people whom you have torn
Yes, humanity is a principle which must come first,
Above all the wiseman and their metaphorical words
And I have seen you running as well as being purged
For this I won't judge you but I shall carry your curse
For years I have followed the signs of the sky
And the stars that have taught me the reasons why
When everything changes and everyone dies
That is where I must go to because I shall survive
And I will be stripped down and I will be judged
For this I will consider that you have suffered enough
And one day we will meet there and one day, my love
The world would've eaten my passion and spit it all up
So now that my best of efforts have finally paid
And religion has spoken and my soul will be saved
Is it still true that we live in a diamond age?
But diamond is fleeting, it is love that lasts always

Powerful Write...worthy of additional reads...Smooth structural movement throughout...Just a suggestion...instead of straight-lining , I think this piece would look stucturally pristine if it were broken-up into 6 quatrain stanzas....Just an I.M.O.,to either muse on or toss, iz all, as the work also looks fine the way it is ...~FjR~
